Established in 2011, our firm was founded with a vision of creating an organization that is both employee-centric and client-focused, providing comprehensive architectural solutions. Our founders, Pedro Castro and Patrick Andersen, instilled the principles of quality and innovation that continue to drive us today. With over three decades of experience in delivering exceptional results across various project types, we’ve refined our skills and knowledge.

Pedro founded Magellan in 2000 with one goal, to provide solutions for our clients. Pedro moved from Brazil to the US over 30 years ago to further his education; he then earned his Masters in Architecture from Washington State University. When Pedro isn’t fulfilling his role as “Chief Explorer Officer” he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, motorcycles and adventurous trips.
Gilson brings to Magellan over 34 years of architecture, animation, and rendering experience. Gilson’s other passions include motorcycles, cinemas, and going to the beach.
Yasser joined the Magellan team in 2015 with several years of experience. His leadership skills, along with his dedication and passion for Architecture and design, make him a valuable asset to the Magellan team. He enjoys playing and watching all types of sports, hiking, and drawing.
Eileen heads our interior design studio in our California office, she moved from residential design to architecture because she wanted to challenge herself and push her creativity to a new level by working in interior architecture. She loves the outdoors, hiking, traveling and painting.
Preferred to be called “Jen,” Jenelyn joined the team because she wants to create functional and sustainable spaces and expand her design knowledge for different occupant types. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on trips, and exploring new food places and culture.
Summer joined the Magellan team in February 2016, bringing her dedication and passion to the table. Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in cheering on her beloved sports teams, the LA Dodgers and LA Chargers, alongside her loving husband and two sons. With a penchant for the outdoors and a fondness for country music, she embraces life’s simple pleasures. What truly captivates her about Magellan is its nurturing environment, a “work family”, that prioritizes work-life balance and continuous learning. She appreciates how Magellan fosters a culture where employees feel cared for and supported, empowering them to thrive and reach for the stars. For Summer, the sky is truly the limit.WHAT WE DO
